Entrance Exams

Minimum entry requirements, English language standards, waivers, and how the university entrance examination is structured for applicants to Green University.

Admission requirements

Applicants seeking admission must satisfy the following minimum entry requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5, or a UK-equivalent degree with at least a 2:2 classification, or an equivalent undergraduate qualification;
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency with an IELTS score of 6.0 or above;

Alternatively, applicants may submit:

  • TOEFL scores of at least 500 (PBT), 171 (CBT), or 61 (iBT);
  • A CEFR (multilevel) certificate at a minimum level of B2;
  • Or successfully pass the University's entrance examination.

English language requirement waiver

Subject to approval by the University Admissions Committee, the English language requirement may be waived under the following circumstances:

  • The applicant holds a degree from an accredited institution in an English-speaking country, where the entire program was taught and assessed in English;
  • The applicant holds a degree from an accredited institution in a non-English-speaking country, where the entire program was taught and assessed in English (official confirmation of the language of instruction must be provided).

Additional assessment requirements

Applicants who already possess valid English proficiency certification are required to submit a written essay (500-700 words) on one of the following topics. Shortlisted candidates will subsequently be invited for an interview.

Essay topics include:

  • How do you assess environmental challenges in Central Asia?
  • How can you contribute to advancing environmental sustainability in our country?

University entrance examination

Applicants who do not possess valid English proficiency certification are required to take the University entrance examination.

The examination is designed in a format similar to internationally recognized tests such as IELTS or CEFR and includes the following components:

  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking

The test content will focus on topics related to environmental studies, ecology, climate change, and other relevant subject areas.
